The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a one-day local visit to Raichur on 13/03/2026 under the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) as prescribed in the VTU Curriculum. A total of 65 students from ECE, EEE, Civil, and Mechanical departments participated in the visit. The students were accompanied by three faculty members – Prof. Renukadevi, Prof. Dineshkumar, and Prof. Geeta. During the visit, the students explored important historical places such as Raichur Fort, Govt. Museum, Navranga Darwaza, and Maliyabad, which helped them gain knowledge about the region’s rich heritage and historical significance. The Heads of the Departments of ECE, EEE, Civil, and Mechanical along with other faculty members sent off the students for this visit. The Director, Prof. Suresh Babu, and the Principal, Dr. M. V. Mallikarjuna, encouraged the students and faculty members to organize such visits in the future to enhance students’ understanding of Indian heritage and cultural knowledge.
