Menstrual Hygiene Awareness & Education Programme Conducted at NIT Raichur

An Outreach Programme on “Menstrual Hygiene Awareness & Education” in Navodaya Institute of Technology, Raichur. The programme was organized by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Navodaya Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (NMCHRC).

The primary objective of the awareness programme was to educate young women about the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene and promoting informed, healthy menstrual practices. The session emphasized the use of clean and safe sanitary products, appropriate hygiene measures during menstruation, and environmentally responsible disposal methods.

The programme also encouraged open discussions on menstrual health, helping to break social stigmas and misconceptions associated with menstruation. Through interactive discussions and educational guidance, participants gained valuable knowledge on maintaining good health, dignity, and confidence during their menstrual cycle.
