NIT Raichur Hosts Two-Day Tech Fest Spectra 2K25 Organized by ECE, EEE & Civil Departments
The Navodaya Institute of Technology (NIT), Raichur successfully conducted its two-day technical festival, Spectra 2K25, on 27th and 28th November 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Departments of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), and Civil Engineering, showcasing technical excellence, innovation, and student talent.
On Day 1, 27/11/2025, the fest commenced with an inaugural ceremony featuring distinguished academicians: Dr. K. Venkatachalam, HoD–ECE, delivered the Welcome Address. Dr. Chandramohan, Assistant Professor, IIIT Raichur, delivered the Inaugural Address. Dr. M. V. Mallikarjuna, Principal, presented the Presidential Address. Dr. M. N. Faruk, Dean (SA), addressed the gathering. Dr. Sathis Reddy, Department of Civil Engineering, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
Following the inauguration, the Technical Paper Presentation session was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Chandramohan, where 31 research papers were presented by students and participants.
In the afternoon, the Project Expo displayed innovative projects developed by final-year and third-year students, attracting nearly 200 visitors. The best 1st and 2nd entries were selected from both the paper presentation and project categories.
The second day began with a Welcome Address by Dr. Narasimha Achari, followed by a Cultural Program in which students from ECE, EEE, and Civil Engineering showcased various performances. Session chairs evaluated the events and selected the top two winners in each category.
The Valedictory Function featured Dr. Basavannappa M. A., Professor & Head, University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, as the Chief Guest. In his valedictory address, he emphasized the significance of skill development, academic excellence, and extracurricular engagement among students.
Prizes were awarded for all competitions, including Paper Presentation, Project Expo, Cultural Events, Throwball, and Cricket.
The Hon’ble Chairman Sri S. R. Reddy, Director (Administration) Sri C. Suresh Babu, and Principal Dr. M. V. Mallikarjuna congratulated the faculty members and students of the ECE, EEE, and Civil Departments for their dedicated efforts in making Spectra 2K25 a grand success.
