Introduction

The guidelines provided in the following pages will guide and facilitate the institution in the creation and operation of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The work of the IQAC is the first step towards internalization and institutionalization of quality enhancement initiatives. Its success depends upon the sense of belongingness and participation it can inculcate in all the constituents of the institution.

To initiate, strengthen and augment the quality of academics and administration at Navodaya Institute of Technology.

1. Nurturing the quality of education through innovation and best practices.
2. Establishing quality benchmarks in academics and administration.
3. Conducting periodic interactions, with members, and audits for augmenting the institutional performance.

Member Tenure & Meetings

1.Term Duration: Typically 2 years (some institutions follow 3 years).
2.Meeting Frequency: At least once per quarter (4 meetings annually).
3.Quorum Requirement: Two-thirds of members must be present for valid decisions.

Roles & Functions of IQAC Members

Coordinator’s Role:

1.Facilitate all IQAC operations and documentation
2.Maintain institutional data and MIS systems

General Responsibilities:

1.Develop and monitor quality benchmarks
2.Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness programmes
3.Collect feedback from stakeholders (students, parents, employers)
4.Prepare and submit Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC
5.Maintain minutes of meetings, Action Taken Reports (ATRs), and databases
