WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL – GUEST TALK ON FEMALE FREEDOM FIGHTERS OF INDIA
The Women Empowerment Cell of Navodaya Institute of Technology organized a Guest Talk on “Female Freedom Fighters of India” as per the directions of Dr. Shubhangi Madam, Regional Director, VTU Regional Centre, Kalaburgi, to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Abbakka, the first female freedom fighter of India.
The programme also paid tribute to the remarkable contributions of Kittur Rani Chennamma and Ahilyabai Holkar, who played significant roles in India’s history of resistance and social reform.
The session was enriched by the resource person, Dr. Shakuntala Shetty, who enlightened the audience about the courage, leadership, and sacrifices of these great women leaders, inspiring students and faculty to uphold the values of bravery and empowerment.
