Computer Science & Engineering

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering started in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students for the undergraduate programme. The CSE department lab, meant to facilitate hands-on experience, is well equipped, with experienced and committed faculty to provide quality industry-tuned education for the computer science engineering enthusiasts.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has a total of 11 eminent faculties with various specializations in Computer Science, consisting of M. Tech. and PhD holders. The CSE department has contemporary infrastructure and interconnected computing equipment, buttressed by high-speed internet connection. The curriculum is designed, adhering to the standards formed by the concerned regulatories, with a focus on practical learning. The programme is structured, keeping in mind, the latest advancements in technology to keep the pupils up-to-date, in Computer Science & Engineering.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

To acquire sound knowledge in applied and basic engineering sciences, necessary to formulate and solve problems related to Computer Science & Engineering.
To develop knowledge in experimentation, analysis, and synthesis of Computer Science & Engineering courses to design/innovate and create novel software products/solutions to real-life problems.
To inculcate managerial & entrepreneur skills, ethical & professional attitude, and multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of the industry and society.
To recognize the need for further studies and research in the phase of ever-changing technologies, and to ensure that the students succeed in the engineering positions globally.

Program Outcomes (POs)

Engineering knowledge: apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and engineering specializations to the solution of complex engineering problems.
Problem analysis: identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions, using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
Design/development of solutions: design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health & safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems: use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern tool usage: create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
The engineer and society: apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
