The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Navodaya Institute of Technology, Raichur, organized an insightful webinar on Cognitive Radio Networks and Software Defined Radio (SDR) on 7 November 2025 (Friday).

The session was delivered by Dr. Suma M. N, Professor at BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Her lecture provided students with a deep understanding of how Cognitive Radio, Intelligent Spectrum Management, and SDR technologies are shaping the next generation of wireless communication.

The webinar was meticulously coordinated under the guidance of Dr. K. Venkatachalam, Head of the ECE Department, along with Dr. Madhuri Devi C. H., Prof. D. M. Aparna, and Prof. Vishnupriya. Their effective coordination ensured the smooth and successful execution of the program.

More than 100 students and faculty members from various institutions registered and actively participated. The session enriched attendees with valuable insights into Cognitive Radio Networks and SDR, enhancing their knowledge of emerging communication technologies.

The administration and Principal of NIT Raichur appreciated the efforts of the ECE Department and encouraged the team to organize more technical programs in the future.
